Unity
Arhuaco leaders tell that their community inhabits the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta since light saw the world. From their worldview perspective, the powerful land that covers this magical coastal ridge gives the Arahuacos the strength to preserve their millennial existence, fulfill their mission of caring for the planet, and be guardians of ancestral wisdom at the same time.
Persistence
The unmistakable aroma and flavor of Sierra Nevada Coffee would not be possible without the persistent efforts of the Arhuaco people, an indigenous community who survived the Spanish extermination in the 16th century and have maintained their legacy of defending nature to this day.
