We roast our coffee where it grows because that’s the fair thing to do.

It's not just about the beans; it's about the people behind them.

We tell the stories of matchless coffee types. We travel through seas, jungles and mountains, certain that the most difficult roads are made of indelible ink embodied in memories. It's not just about the beans; it's about the people behind them.

I. THE REVELATION

Back in May 2019, one of our founding partners stumbled upon some Vietnamese coffee farmers with not just great beans, but also some epic stories to share. Raised in a country surrounded by the scent of coffee, but miles away in Southeast Asia, he realized the importance of these stories passed down through generations.

From Vietnam to Panama, Brazil, and El Salvador, our explorer soaked up more coffee tales along the way. But where were the stories from his own homeland, Colombia? Known for its top-notch coffee, he wanted to know the stories behind it all.

And that's where the Coffee Tellers journey began—a quest to uncover the best stories behind Colombian coffee and share them with the world, giving them the recognition they truly deserve.

II. COMMUNITY

We're all about bringing together talent and passion for a common cause. From the get-go, we've been on a mission to make Colombian coffee not just a beverage, but a reason to spark great conversations and see the world through optimistic eyes.

So, in June 2020, amidst countless meetings and coffee-fueled brainstorming sessions, a group of friends decided to take on the wild idea of sharing true stories behind Colombia's amazing coffee varieties.

Even as the pandemic swept across the globe, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Those initial sketches turned into something tangible, and Coffee Tellers Co slowly but surely became a reality.

III. THE PLOT

As the pandemic swept across the globe, we huddled up as a team, sketched out our plans, and watched our crazy idea start to take shape.

Those endless days of lockdown left us itching to hit the road and explore Colombia. Armed with our map and compass, Coffee Tellers was raring to go. We dusted off our shoes and got ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

From the depths of the Amazon to the peaks of the Cauca volcanoes, and all the way to the breathtaking Caribbean vistas, we ventured into wild and untamed territories. Our mission? To uncover the stories behind four special coffee varieties: Familia, Poderosa, Bullet Pen, and the Sierra Nevada.

But it wasn't just about the coffee; it was about the people. We met Colombian folks who poured their soul, life, and heart into their craft. Their stories inspired us to give it our all and ensure their hard work got the recognition it deserves.

After four whirlwind years of travel, research, coding, and overcoming countless challenges, 2024 dawned, and we're ready to share the knowledge we've gained from those who sow the seeds and tend to the coffee plantations. We've got some darn good coffee, sure, but we've also got some unforgettable stories that deserve to be heard beyond Colombia's borders.

And guess what? This is just the beginning.

Consider this the first chapter of a journey that started in Vietnam and is set to circle the globe.

V. THE ONES BEHIND THE SCENES

We're a bunch of diverse thinkers, with all sorts of styles and backgrounds. Our crew includes coffee growers, designers, writers, journalists, and filmmakers who aren't just here to fill a rol —they're all chasing the same dream: sharing the stories of small Colombian coffee growers and creating a unique, sustainable product that helps their families and communities thrive.

We're firm believers that we can shake up the coffee game and make a difference. And we're damn proud to be part of a generation that's showing the world the real Colombia—a place filled with creative, hardworking, laid-back, and resilient folks, where coffee brings cultures together and celebrates diversity.
